Well in SA most fast food comes out of the franchises type of enterprises. So I would have to say the best burger I have tasted this side must be from the Spur

DOUBLE BURGER (WITH SAUCE) 76.95 ZAR = 10.2293 USD = 6.46708 GBP = 9.50502 AUD

I would agree Dilligaf, except for the fries, which, imho, are rubbish :y7:.

Here's mine;

For non burgers my choice is;

DaveM, I haven't seen the show but you can find the list of places online. I've been to a couple; one was fantastic and the other had so many people waiting to get through the door that we couldn't get in, so it must also be very good. I'm planning to visit more on this year's bike trip.

We have all the common fast food joints here that are all over North America.
The only one I go to a couple of times a year is Arby's. My wife loves their curly fries - and so do I :y2:
During the summer when we're out riding there are any number of nice pub/restaurant type places to get good fish and chips, burgers and the like - as well as food higher on the scale.
We skip the fast food places and go to the private eateries.
We do the majority of our riding along the coast so fresh seafood is plentiful.

I don't mind the burgers made by the chains but if I'm within an hour from home and hungry I'll pass the burger outlet and grab a fresh crispy bread roll at my local baker and duck home to make a fresh salad roll, yum.

WHATABURGER for fast food burgers.

I enjoy watching this TV show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I see some amazing fast food being done here

I've eaten at 4 or 5 of the places he has been to and have seen a few others.

I do have one problem with his show, he is eating in the food prep area which is a big no-no with area health department rules. Come on Guy, go out to the dining room to eat. Otherwise it's a good show.

Well I suppose this is not really a fast food joint as such but more a coffee shop but it is my favourite place to go the food is really great Capellini It is just up the road from where I stay, as you remember I posted this one in my ride report the other day

How could we ever forget? :y2:

Yep, I reckon Spur is probably the best we have here, and, it is good.

But right now I'm cooking roast beef and slurping some of this:

So I'm not thinking about fast food tonight :y16:.

DaveM: Just veering off topic, but directly related- how about a home cooking thread? Do these TT members from the frozen Northern Tundra really understand braaivleis, potjiekos and how to cook in T shirt, shorts & slip slops :y2:?
