otherwise there are no trees on skye apart from what man planted .

I don't get it, birds migrate and naturally drop seed, then trees grow.
Possibility is the soil is shallow and poor quality, then the sheep and cattle graze on any seedlings trying to get a hold on.
Just so different to anything I've ever seen with my own eye.

You didn't tell us that you actually picked up two of those Minis. :y2:
 
Brilliant pictures, Eilean Donan Castle is one of my all time favourite castle's ever since I saw Highlander. Been in it twice. If you tour the Highlands you just can't miss it. Never got to Sky it's on my to do list. Scotland is such a beautiful country, and even better on a bike.
Looking forward to the next instalment of pictures.
P.S. My computers a bit slow on the downloading side of things,( Not unlike me ) internet speed in Spain not up to much, I have just seen the rest of your pictures. What a fantastic trip that must have been

sorry guys ment to tell you i was going away for a week, but it all got a bit rushed and there was no phone or wifi were we stayed .
it was breath taking and i took loads of pics , the ones above are just a few .
