This morning dawned with a temp of 62 degrees F (16.7 degrees C) with clear shies a a gentle breeze. We should reach a high of 86 F (30 C) this afternoon. I washed and dried the bike with the anticipation of getting a short ride in on this gorgeous day. Most of the day, I will spend with Sheryl; but there will be time to take advantage of the spectacular weather - and the lowering gas prices. I am out of here and going riding!

Well it,s not sunny, reached about 10.C but gas prices are down so I,ve had a run round on the T-Bird today. All the BMW riders with their heated grips were out to-day , all decked out like Paris Dakar riders in their Long Way round matching suits

Carl, I'll see your 62F and raise you 3C (37F) :y23:
It was a sunny morning but only 3C which is typical for this time of year. I had to scrape the frost off my windshield for the first time. Time to start putting the old bus in the garage for the night.
Not to worry as the temp shot up to a blistering 6C (43F) :y44:
Oh well, at least Hurricane Omar went out to sea and disappeared.

It is a gorgeous day here also. I forced myself to get dressed and took the HD for a 15 minute ride. Now I am paying for it, back on the ice-pack.

Gary, I'm glad you at least got a short ride in. Would a standard riding position be more tolerable for your back?

Geoff and Rocky, I think I will keep my weather!

Your morning low was just a little lower than my afternoon high. It was about 40F this morning, and about 65F this afternoon. I'm on call though so I'm not riding anyway, but I'm looking forward to Monday, no more pager for 5 weeks! :y18:

Ya got that right Crl...Seeing as I am feeling 100 times better just the throat to get back to normal, We did a bit of gardening then got the kids in the car and went down to a place where ya can see Manatee out in the wild...its down by the cape. Then hit a place for some dinner and headed back. Got in about an hour ago. tell ya what....seeing all the bikes around because of Biktoberfest was making me scratch to wanna get on mine mate.

Glad the old temps are coming down along with gas. mind you make the most of the gas...opec met and they are lowering the output of oil. They say the barrel should be a around 100 bucks. Just goes to show we are still ruled by these slags dont it? Well, when it comes to our gas anyway.

Rides safe mate

It truly was a great weekend, Carl. Saturday, I rode up to Norton63's house and did the first service on the Tiger, and the ride, both ways, was great. Then yesterday, I went to visit some friends for a relaxing afternoon cookout. It is getting to that time of year when all of us Sunshine State folks remember why we live here. Gotta love it.

Rocky, I can't stand the cold. It makes my broken body ache. I get cold when the temperature gets below 60 F. I need to live in Key West or the Carribean!

Just looking at your temperatures over the water makes me cold. I hate the cold!!

MaeS - come on over - our summer's just starting and its looking to be a great one! And we don't have hurricanes, tropical storms, earthquakes, major flooding etc. We do have bush fires, but not on the scale that California experience. Ours are just that - bush fires, away from inhabited areas. Well human inhabits at least.
