Brilliant Kevin :y115:

Here is a bit of its history: http://www.hars.org.au/fleet/constellation/index.html

for me the Connie is one of the most beautiful airliners ever :y18:

Joao,
How cool is that, Connie is based about 30km from my house, I see her at least once a month as I ride past. I have seen her in the air 5 or 6 times, today she did 4 fly bys. It takes you on the other side of the world to give me the link to her home page.
You're the expert but, I just think she is all class based on gut feeling and listening to that magic note she puts out. One of the plane spotters told me today they were going to fly 4 planes but were unable to find pilots on a week day. You may get an offer from Australia if you put your hand up.
Cheers Kevin

That is,without question, the most elegant airliner ever built.
[/quote]This one could also apply for the title: The De Havilland DH.91 Albatross :y115:

Thanks Joao, there's something about DeHavilland designs, elegant yes,but the balance and proportion always looks right, even the biplanes.
Of course Olivia wasn't too bad either.

Really good photos, Kevin. The pic with both aircraft reminds me of my days watching the aircraft land at Orlando: Connie's, DC6's, DC7's, Martin 404's, Convair (I forget the designation), and the venerable DC3. I agree with Doug and GP; the Connie is the most beautiful airliner ever built. Pure grace in those curving lines.

Thanks for the post and the memories!
