Yesterday I got home after a 2 week business trip to Aus.



The site work part of my visit was in the region of the placemarker. I didn't enjoy it.

Had an episode of heat exhaustion.

Perth city, however, is great.

Jet lag is weird and unpleasant.

I feel your pain, I go thru a bout with jet lag every other week but I have a different take on it. . . IT SUCKS!!!

Apart from the aforementioned awful site stay, I was very impressed with several aspects of Oz.

The drivers are polite and considerate, so getting around is relatively stress free.
The people generally are very personable. Always a friendly greeting from service staff in shops etc, and easy to strike up a conversation in bars or similar.
Australia is CLEAN, unlike SA which is full of litter.
The country's administration systems run like a swiss watch.

So, I am sorry I painted a bad picture of the country in my earlier post. The negatives were all to do with the stay on site.
