Anyone had teeth pulled when there was a bad infection?

A dry socket is when the blood and general bodyfluid gunk come out of the wound, ie the hole where the tooth was. Thus exposing the nerve to air. This is extremely extremely extremely painfull.
So don't poke about in there with your tounge or anything really. lol
Be very gentle when mouth washing so you don't knock the blood/gunk out.

Smoking is also bad after you've had mouth work done. Slows down the healing process by at least half.

I see. I thought it was a condition caused by rinsing, something that might cause it to heal wrong or something. in any case i never felt any pain so i guess most of that disturbing concoction stayed in there.
