Our monthly Photo Competition will work like this.

The Rules
1. Each month we will have a theme
2. Members can submit one photo into the competition per month
3. The photo must be theme related and have a least one motorbike featured in it. The bike does not have to be your own
4. The photo must have been taken by the member submitting it.
5. Anyone can enter excepting me (I may cook the books)

I was also thinking about how many times a member should vote or how many photos they can vote for

I see no problem with a member submitting two or three photos. Sure that increases their chance of winning; but we get to view the addition photos.

I don't know how to automate it; but I think each member should rank his/her choices of the top three photos. Each first place vote would be worth three poionts; each second place vote two points, and each third place vote 1 point. The photo with the most points wins.

but what happens if someone goes a bridge to far ,what then !

Well now it is two photo and not sure how many votes The thing is it will depend on how many people send in photos so we may have to change it again the next month

One photo one vote is my vote.

In reality (after my joking requests for special treatment) I also think simplicity is the best way to go.
One photo, if you enter two photos you may take votes away from your best photo.
One vote for members, but two votes may be an option. If all entrants vote once for them self then the votes will be thinly spread possibly not getting the best result if non contributing members don't vote much.
So I think, one photo per entrant and voters to pick the best two with votes having the same weight.

Why I say more than one vote it will give us a better result overall, possibly being able to select the two that you like best

Without going for another ride I'm down to two photos and two bridges left for my entry.

OK team it's time to get your entries in only a day or two left.
I didn't get a chance to go chasing bridges again after the above post so made the choice and sent my entry of to Dave just a couple of minutes ago.
My entry is a conservative shot of my bike on a bridge, you'll see it at Dave's leisure, but my favourite is this one (not my entry). It's my bike parked under a railway bridge.
Photography is art and art is in the eye of the beerholder.
