In my internet research on tennis elbow i was led to believe a tear IS what tennis elbow is.

Many times people confuse all pain in the elbow with always being "tennis elbow" (a tendon tear) when there are times that it is actually bursitis in the elbow joint.

People who do repetitive things such as hairdressers develop bursitis in the elbow which basically feels about the same as tennis elbow.

Both conditions can be helped with an anti-inflammatory and icing it down.

Well, i dunno about dave, but that makes ME feel a lot better about having tennis elbow ! :ya2:

Daz, I had it in both elbows and the strap does help. I have worn it with the pad right where it hurts and,,believe it or not a coworker of mine was told by his doc to put it above the elbow and it kept the muscle from pulling on that tendon that hurt. One brand of strap has a little stretch to it so it can be tighter but not act like a tourniquet.
Still either place, I could only stand it there for 8 hours or so. 4 months or so for me, next thing I knew is that it was'nt there any more.
you didn't do it at work did you? workmans comp. time to heal it.
