In my internet research on tennis elbow i was led to believe a tear IS what tennis elbow is.

Many times people confuse all pain in the elbow with always being "tennis elbow" (a tendon tear) when there are times that it is actually bursitis in the elbow joint.
People who do repetitive things such as hairdressers develop bursitis in the elbow which basically feels about the same as tennis elbow.
Both conditions can be helped with an anti-inflammatory and icing it down.
