Another Statistic

A guy who shared a room with my son in Thailand last year for the World Mouy Thai championships was murdered this morning in Cape Town. He was killed for his car. The funny thing (or really sad) thing is, is that he was (is) the current world super heavy weight champ runner up and ranked no1 here, and that they murdered him outside of the dojo. He was a lethal weapon but no match for a gun.

I wonder if he will even make a headline on the news tonight or was he just too white?

That's really horrible. Please give our deepest condolences to his family. I hate gun-toting cowards. If nothing is on the news, I'm going to make sure it gets into the news one way or another. The family need all the support they can get.

This reminds me of another thing for that "remember when" sorta thread we had a while back. Remember when a incident like this would be big news? Now it's a daily event in many if not most places. here in so cal there are areas where it's a daily event and they hardly report them on the news any more unless theres something about it thats unique. Well, on the bright side, it's a world like this that will make it easier to leave it when the time comes. :sad:
