America Evap System

I have a 2005 America, California bike, with all Evap system removed. Bike starts but dies after a few minutes. I’ve reconnected the gas tank vent, but haven’t figured out what else must be connected as a minimum. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Does sound like fuel starvation. Have you tried opening gas cap after it quits? That will tell you if the vent is indeed working.

I am in California, but I have a Fed Spec bike [sold new in Ca. by the way]. It doesn't have anything but a vent hose. Don't think you need any of that other "Cr3!!p". Nobody inspects these things anyhow. ...J.D.

J.D. does your bike have carburetors? Wondering if I need to connect throttle body vents?
