Here I am sitting in a coffee shop sipping away on a double thick chocolate milkshake chatting in real time to friends from all corners of the world, mind blowing stuff hey. BBEER
It's crazy stuff isn't it how we zap messages around the world in seconds.
I should be used to the internet by now, and take it for granted, but at times it still amazes me.

Well I have been in the communications game all my working life and when I first stared out it amazed me what we could do then and that was child's play to what we can do now and it still amazes me every day I work with the stuff

If you keep sipping on those "double thick chocolate milkshakes" you'll have to get a larger bike to carry the expanding man about.

Well. After dashing over for the photo for the Scavenger Game, the wife and I have gone out to eat. I'm sitting in a Denton restaurant called "The Abbey Inn" having fish and chips and sucking down a Guinness!! BBEER

Sent from my BlackBerry 9930 using Tapatalk and some serious hunting and pecking.

If that's the place on the corner of Hickory & Locust I'd recommend the cottage pie.:y15:

Yessir! That is the very place.

I have to agree. The cottage pie is very good. Actually, I've not had anything bad here at all. TUP

Sure is mind blowing, a bloke can mention sitting in a restaurant and in another country you can bring up a map street photos and a menu from the place.

It is pretty incredible. That is why I shared the name and town.
Tony mentioned your "Google skills" in another thread.:y45:

The internet still amazes me and always will. I think only those who grew up with it will never be amazed like we are. I however must admit that i firmly believe the internet is the worse thing mankind has ever invented and does infinitely more harm than good in the end. If i had my wish digital technology would have never happened. I won't go into the reasons because i could write a book on it. But I believe 100% that it has already done a lot of damage and that will continue to snowball in years to come. I may be in a tiny minority that believes this, but i'm more than convinced. I do admit tho, what i feel is good about it is really amazing and beneficial. But it's kinda like salt or fat to your body....great stuff that you need and love, but too much and you die. Too much info ain't good in more ways that you could discuss in a lifetime. I will likely hear from some of you that think i'm wacked, but it's just my opinion.

On the subject of whats amazing, google earth blows my mind ! need i say any more about that? I'm sure everyone has seen what it can do.

Well these is not getting away from it the internet has destroyed some people and made other very wealthy as we know. Like a lot of things that our parents warned us about when we were young it became part of our daily life and we managed it as such. The generation now are in the same situation and they need to manage it and work with it to enhance who they are and not allow it to destroy them

True, but the problem is this. Give people enough rope and they'll hang themselves. The internet gives everyone plenty of rope, which is that tool u mention. But when i talk of the net as being a bad thing, i don't just mean in the ways u may think. It's also extremely detrimental to individuals in ways that are not obvious and don't seem ominous. I do agree tho Carl...it IS what you do with it. But unfortunately people don't know whats good or bad for them, nor do they have the willpower to resist easy access to everything imaginable. I'm a fairly strong person when it comes to willpower, but It's taken a toll on my life in a big way. And i was worlds better off before it. But thats the tip of the iceberg.

A gun is a tool too, a very dangerous one. Luckily the majority of people are careful with them. But only because they understand the danger due to the fact it's in your face obvious. Most people don't understand the dangers of the internet because many of them they aren't obvious.
