Air Filter

So having done a complete oil service,general cleaning and renovation, plus a couple of runs before the lockdown I thought I'd clean or refresh the Air Filter.
There isn't one fitted, just short tube to nothing!! Has anyone fitted a anything other than the Triumph filter (F4218.) Is there room between the carb and the bath tub tin ware. If so were they effective??

I know - with a Concentric and without the bathtub - the later standard C-range Triumph 'pancake' filter with the offset entry to the carb. fits, but only just, between oil tank, frame tube and later sidepanel.

I'll suspect with Monobloc and bathtub, it's F4218 (82-4218) or nothing? F4218 is available ...

I have an 'unwashed' 3TA (lost its bathtub) and I have fitted a pancake type for a Bonneville with an adaptor . The photo will give you an idea of the amount of space you need. The filter extends just short of the oil tank. I think fitting a cylindrical type filter inside the bathtub (on the end of the rubber tube) might be a better option- given the modest size of the carb it doesn't have to be very big. - Trevor

Thanks everyone for the support. I went for the triumph F4218 for a bit of authenticity. (Ace Classics). Simple, not quite, I didn't want to remove the carb which leaves little space between the carb and the tinware. In the end battery and support out, both sides of the tinware loosened front and bottom, rear foot pegs off,seat off. Then a bit of wiggling. A 30 minute job that took ages!!! Still not much else to do at present.!!!
