I have had my T140 about 3 month now and I have had a great time repairing , replacing parts and general tinkering.
So far I have fitted new tyres, chain and sprockets, clutch, kickstart pinion, Tri-spark electronic ignition, coils, Podtronics reg/rectifier, and just about re-wired the ignition/charging circuits.
I have also fitted chrome mudguards, black side covers, painted the chain guard and fitted the indicators, some TR6 handlebars and bar end mirror.
Here are some before and after pics, what do you think?

Oh I almost forgot, fitted the bonneville anniversary points cover.

Hey Gump
Very nice my man
Definately like the black side covers and bars, the guards I liked painted, but then, if we all thought the same, we'd all drive Lada's, yes?
And obviously, all the reliability mods have got to be good.
Well done that man :y115:

Gump,
Good start. I say start because as you know those old bikes are a work in progress.
Cosmetically the black side covers and chain guard have transformed the bike from a clown to the real thing. I love it, keep posting it's progress.

Gump, that is sweeeet. Like Rocky, I liked it the way it was except for the bars; but I definitely like the black side covers and guard as well as the chrome fenders. It looks really good and could have a home in my garage!

Nice looking bike Gumpt, particularly like the chrome guards (but that could be the Pikey in me ). I think painting it OD would just make it the DB,S .

T140s did have taller bars than the older 650s....but those look exceptionally tall. Maybe it's just the photo, but those don't look like they were the stock height.

I agree the lower bars are much better. The fenders look good both in chrome or painted, but the black side covers and chainguard is a 1,000% improvement.

She's looking super Gumpt.....I know it's a just matter of personal taste, but if it were me, I'd also change-out the silencers for the old cigar style.
