It has been very hot here and the humidity is unforgiving, i recorded 100F yesterday and today was 94F, it rained about 10 min. just enough to have plenty of moister in the air. However everything is growing like crazy, tomatoes are ripe, corn, weeds and plenty of grass to cut. Tomorrow and the rest of the week will be close to or in the 100's, no snow for awhile and that is fine by me. Time for a high elect. bill.

It's been jam hot in France for a while now, high 30's C,we have to go to Portugal end of next week for 6 weeks as Andrea has some medical appointments there and it's close to 40c most days, not looking forward to it one bit!
It really is too hot to put on all the biking gear and after a hot ride to take it all off again, however I won't ride without at least Kevlar jeans and protective boots,my perforated but armored Bering jacket is great with just a wicking tee shirt below.
Just seems to be the lower half that's the problem!! Ooooh er Mrs.:whistle2:

That's wicked hot!
Way up here it doesn't get anywhere near that hot, but if it gets up close to 30C (86F) that's far too hot for me to ride.
Even 25C (77F) is plenty hot for me so on hot days I ride in the early morning and be home before noon.

Well our summers aren't that hot, it's not that hot today, but we've had a few nice days the rest has been a normal British summer.

We are leaving the heat of France at the weekend and going to an even hotter Portugal, where in the Alentejo where we have our mobile home the forecast is for high 30's all next week.
Thank goodness for aircon and a small hot tub that will be filled withCOLD water and covered with insulation when not in use.
Funny old world, sometimes we are never satisfied, are we?

Well, its the middle of winter here and good weather for riding, if just a bit cold. Our club went for a ride over the mountains today to a place called Oberon, which is one of the coldest towns in NSW, it was pretty cool maybe 3 or 4 degrees C in the middle of the day and we copped a bit of rain (getting close to hail) on the way home. I was not planning a ride over the mountains and the only concession to the cold from my summer kit was a sloppy joe (fleecy jumper) so I was very glad to get down from the mountains and back and start the fire.

Well, just arrived here in PT,going outside is like walking into a furnace!
It's only 35c!! Going to 42over the next couple of days.
My only visit to the US took me through Death Valley in Arizona and this feels very much like that.
We have family from NZ coming to visit at the weekend, they are from the North Island so hope they can cope!!

We are only here as Andrea has three hospital appointments but some other stuff as well to do.
It's the first time we have been here in summer and won't be doing it again!
Luckily we have aircon in the home and just filled the hot tub with cold water, not that it will be cold for long!
Looked forward to harvesting the white peaches but they have been blighted by some insect, the locals tell me I should have sprayed the tree but obviously we were not here, shame as three wheelbarrow loads had to be tipped this morning.
Portugal is a lovely country the people are friendly and kind but it's a poor country but nobody is envious of others, many tell me they have never seen a trike before but mine is a Rewaco,1600 beetle engined 3 seater so everyone asks," may we sit on?" Of course they all get their phones out for a picture, you don't need to ask them to smile!
Love it here but not this time of year.

well i defiantly wouldn't be able to cope with that heat as ive said before 16c - 24c is plenty for me and even that gets a bit warm to work in !
Come work with us. My crews work in areas with no air movement that the temps can hit 48 in the afternoons. We have plenty of insulation around our steam lines but when the steam flowing thru the lines is 538C, the insulation doesn't hold all the heat in.

We hope and pray that there is no trouble at this time of year, it can get a little hard on the body.

At this time of year, my control room's 20 to 22C can be a pretty popular place.
