Replacing Avon Trailriders, looking for more of an 80/20 or even 70/30 and was considering Tourances. Good option? Also curious about something more aggressive like the Trailmax Missions. Can anyone advise how significant a change I should expect from the Avon's I've got now?

All depends on whether you plan on going off the pavement and how much. Metzler Tourance Nexts came stock in my Tiger and were a good road(80/20 or 90/10, can't remember) tire albeit short lived. May last better on your Scrambler. The Trailmax Missions are a 50/50 and so there are always compromises. Good tire and I am happy with it, but may not be suitable for your riding style. Only you can determine that. I reviewed A LOT of tires before deciding. You're stuck with them for a good period of time and they are your contact patch with the world, so unless you have a lot of disposable income(I do not), they don't normally get changed until they're worn out.
You can check out my review in the 1200 Tiger section of the Dunlops.

I replaced the stock Metzeler Tourance with Michelin Anakee Adventure on my 2019 Street Scrambler. I like the Michelins better. I ride pavement and gravel/dirt roads. The Michelins seem to be stickier on the asphalt and more stable in the gravel than the Metzelers. The only mild complaint I have is that that the Michelins "sing" when you're leaning at road speeds (above 45 mph). I got about 10K miles out of the Metzelers, and now have about 5K on the Michelins, and looks like they are wearing less than the Metzelers did at the same mileage.

I have been reading a lot about the Missions , think I’ll be giving them a try . Have been using the Anakee 3s which are very sticky and long lasting but even for the little amount of dirty work I do the front Is totally inadequate .

I’m a huge fan of the tkc70s they’re probably more the 70/30 but are great on the roads wet or dry. The last 6 or 7 sets of tires I’ve bought have all been the tkc70s. If they ever let me down I’ll consider something else.

I have had poor wear with TKC 70's, mostly road. I have had great luck with Continental trail attack. I currently run Metzler tourance Next, much better tire as the wear is more even and I can get 8-10K out of them. Your experience may vary!

What rubber did you end up getting? I'm looking at the Trailmax Missions for my Scrambler as well.

I got the missions and am impressed . Put them on for my Trans Labrador trip they handled lots of hi speed pavement . heavy gravel , hard packed with light gravel on top and when I got back they were at home on the trails I try to get lost on . Look like they will last as long as reported and their performance on the curvey stuff is amazing considering the look of the tread . I would think of them as being a 70/30 with unusually good pavement manners .

In the end I went with more of a street tire and got a set of Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross. Haven’t had any complaints with them, they’ve held up pretty well. At this point the center tread is a little worn, but after more than 6,000 miles I’d expect that. A few times I’ve felt them slip a touch when turning on gravel or wet road paint but they catch quickly every time. That said, will probably give the Trailmax Missions a try for my next set, love the way they look and keep hearing great things.
