I am looking to purchase a centre stand and thought I would go for an after market (cheaper) option.
When I look at those available on eBay they talk about models up to 2017.
Will they fit the 2020 Bonnie t100.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

The newer T100 is the same frame as the T120 so if that helps in your search. What you're finding on Ebay may be for the older Bonnevilles with the air cooled 865cc engine as I think they produced those up to 2016. Good luck in your search.

I’m very pleased with my TecBikeParts adjustable center stand that I installed on my 2018 T100.

I have the more expensive Genuine Triumph 2020 T100 Bonnie ctr stand....its very well engineered....in my opinion worth the extra cost over the to me crude looking TEC type.

Its very different to the Triumph part....Triumph designed the frame thats why I went for there part....very easy to fit....its a high stress part.

I like the twin spring idea over the single spring on the TEC stand.

I just grab the rear shock....at first I thought....gee not going to be able to do this.....easy now I know how.
I found a hint online that said to rock back onto a 1-2 inch thick board and then lift up on the centerstand. I tried and it worked with very little effort.

Were would that board be put...under the stand or maybe rear wheel.

Honestly it should not be necessary for and aids.
I struggled at 1st.....piece of cake now I know how.

I found this thread an interesting read.

Was ordering other parts when I came across the Triumph center stand. I love center stands. Have a SW Motec on the the DR and it makes so much maintenance so much easier.

On the DR, I have to get off the bike to put it on the center stand. My way of doing it is to have the bike in neutral, grab the handle bars between the bar clamps and the side rack in the rear, put the stand down - holding with my foot - and heave back with bike.

Now my question to those who have center stands: can you straddle the bike, bring the stand down and heave back on the handle bars?

I put mine up when standing beside using the foot lever on the center stand. That's what it's there for. Leverage. Grab side of bike at lower rear peg mount and front crash bar and pull it back onto the stand.. Can't do it sitting on a tall bike like the Explorer.

I didn't realize you also have a tall bike. Same as with the DR, 35" seat height at the lowest point of the seat.

I was asking because in a time long, long ago I rode a Yamaha 400 ( maybe it was a 440 ) that had a center stand, no side stand. And, that's how you got it up - straddle, lower the stand and heave backward.
