I have a 2015 Thunderbird Commander, and am wondering if there is anyway to remove the top speed limit on the bike. Does anyone make a product or have first hand experience at actually eliminating the top speed restriction?

Thank you, MC

There is no one that i have contacted in the US that has any knowledge of how to da this . ( Dealers included ) PLEASE enlighten me!
I can't unfortunately, I just thought I maybe able to do this in the future, seems not but I do know people at Triumph so I'll ask and let you know if I get anywhere.

Can get the Triumph TORs(Triumph Off Road) tune for them from the dealer. Need the Triumph low restriction foam air filter and TORs exhaust before they will do the tune to my knowledge. Any lower restrictive exhaust upgrade should also do like Vance & Hines or Remus. No one else makes an air filter for these two models as far as I know. The K&N will not work as it was for the other T'birds. Slightly different airbox in the LT and Commanders due to different frames from the regular T'bird. There may be something else out there now as I have been out of touch with the aftermarket for these bikes since I traded mine.
It wakes the Big Birds up a bit, but nothing dramatic. I had it on mine and liked it with the Triumph TORs pipes. Was not loud or obnoxious. You may get differing results with the above aforementioned aftermarket pipes. The Triumph TORs pipes look identical to the ones on the Commanders.

i would leave well enough alone these bikes are sensetive about change had to have mine ecu updated after it sat in storeage before i bought it , still threw a check engine code a couple times my bike is the 1600 thu just my opinion.

I have a power commander, Vance and Hines and free flowing air filter with a custom dyno jet dyno tune map Top speed is limited. 88 whp 110 pounds foot torque.

i think factory 1600 is 85hp and 108 ft lbs, doesnst seem like much diffrence, i used to spend money on upgrades which didnt seem to do much. now i just ride and dont bother with those upgrades anymore tires and maintence are were my money gos lol

Wasn't really referring to the top speed limiter. Know that is your original query, but think you may be SOL. If a ECM can be swapped from a T'bird with the 1700cc Storm engine, may be able to tune it. A bit of research may be required to see if that would even be doable.
