My 2015 T214 Bonneville's (essentially a T100) friction zone has changed. I only have 2500 mile on it. Up till recently, the clutch would start grabbing when lever was about 50% released. Now, it has to be almost completely released. I have tried to adjust the cable, but no use. Is there a way to adjust the clutch from the pressure plate? (like i can on my harley dyna?) Any idea what would have caused this change? Will probably order a gasket and pull the clutch cover to take a look-see. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Due to the low mileage, is it possible that some plates have stuck together causing the change in the friction point.
If thats the case, do you think just a nice long ride might break them free? or do you think i'll need to get in there ?

When did you last change oil? If it were my bike, I would change the oil and filter using motorcycle specific oil, Then I would take for a long ride, at least a hundred miles, and see if it makes any difference.

Many thanks to your suggestions. Changed the oil and filter and already noticeable difference :-) I'll get out for a long ride in a bit.

Only had 500 miles on that oil, but it has been a little over a year. Wouldst have thought oil could be the culprit. So again, thanks.

I'll have to ride it more, and / or change oil more frequently. My wife has been riding with me more, and the Harley is more comfortable for two up.

Used Castrol Power 1 4T 10w-40 synthetic per manual-- same as last change. I know oil preferences range widely, but is there a better oil for my situation (not rode often).

Thanks again

That is good news. I think it just needs to be ridden more frequently. Your oil selection is fine. I use a 10W-50 in my air cooled bikes; biut my climate is a whole lot warmer than yours! Any fully synthetic, motorcycle specific -with emphasis on the motorcycle specific - oil is fine. I use another brand; but that is my preference. You have a relatively short riding season; so ride it all you can.
