I am eager to test ride one, though I am not in the market for one.

Looks like another fine bike by Triumph.

What I do wonder about are two things......

How's the riding position?

Doesn't it have an adjustable windscreen?

Hopefully it'll have a good riding position and that varies for every individual to a degree. Some bikes even have adjustable seating heights.

The lack of an adjustable windscreen would be a serious mistake in my opinion. The best scenario would be to have an electrically adjustable windscreen that can be changed on the fly.

It will have an adjustable seat as does the Tiger 800. I have read no mention of an adjustable wind screen. The optional one for the Tiger 800 is adjustable. I do have that windscreen on mine.

The throttle grip is connected to a thing similar to a reostat (potentiometer) which is connected to a tiny servo motor at the fuel injection unit.

Many new cars also use this method as opposed to a linkage or cable. They are pretty reliable. It also makes it very easy to incorporate a cruise control since everything is done electronically.

My MINI Cooper has fly-by-wire throttle control and it's definitely a bit weird. You get used to it, but it's a little harder to "feather" the throttle pedal. For example if the car in neutral and I just want to hold the engine RPM at say 2000 RPM, it's very hard to do that.

I also blew a fuse once and I could start the car, but the throttle pedal didn't do anything until I replaced the fuse.

It looks as if the screen is manually adjustable by the pics! It supposedly has switchable ABS, cruise control, traction control, a hydraulic clutch and a 930 watt alternator for all those electrical accessories. I believe that this bike is going to set a standard! Mine's on order as I've been waiting for the Tiger 800's big brother for awhile now. I will however be very sad to see my Tiger 1050 go. It's been a fantastic bike and hope the 1200 will be the same.

Well, unfortunately, it looks like Triumph will make those of us who have been waiting FOREVER for a replacement to the Trophy wait even longer!!! :y14:

I've been waiting patiently, but I'm getting sick of it. If they don't do something soon in that regard, I'll be going to a BMW or HONDA.
