So got my first big naked... Previous bike was a 2003 YZF R6. Came across some settings on the net which happened to be for a bike UK journalist 90kg... I'm 91.6kg so it was close enough. This guy took the R6 back in 2003 when it was released and put it through its paces and gave some pretty good suspension settings indications which work great on semi bumpy mountain roads.
I'm now looking at adjusting the trumpy.
Any speed triple freaks out there have any comments?

On the standard settings the bike dips a lot under medium force breaking... Although its fitted with ABS brakes it doesn't sit flat as I was told the abs models would behave.

when you say it dips during braking, is it only the front dipping, or is the back lifting alot. (which increases the feeling for the worse)?

@ 91kg, you should have increased rear preload anyway. What is the rear sag with rider now?

I'm too old world to help much but the big thing in setting anything up is only make one adjustment at a time. Then ride it, think about what happened, possibly go back one step and ride it again before moving on to the next adjustment. Too many people adjust themselves into confusion.

OTHERWISE thanks for the advise... I'll keep it in mind to not go adjusting myself into confusion.

remember to measure rear sag with your kit on eh.

Otherwise is dead on, unless you have a decade or so of suspension setting behind you, you could quite possibly go round in circles forever.

start with front and rear sag. It's the base on which you work from.
