It happens every once in a while but now its persistent. If I press the starter button nothing happens. I tried doing the jumper wire on the relay trick (on the red and white wires) and it kicked and kicked but wouldn't start.
Battery is fully charged. The fuses are fine. Full tank of fuel.

What can it be?

Electrical problems are so hard to diagnose without being there. Could be worn or chaffed wire in ignition circuit. Bad ignition. Bad coils, etc.
Best to try and find a good mechanic in your area that can run proper diagnostics so you don't start paying for parts you do not need.
Has the bike had regular tune ups? That could compound the poor starting issues.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

Have you got a code reader? Perhaps a good place to start. You might also check your ground or earth. A bad ground can cause major headaches.

I probably should have posted a follow up or “solved”. Very poor forum etiquette on my part.
Turns out, it was a combination of the sidestand switch and a faulty neutral indicator switch.

Seeing as my old Honda never had either, I disabled both.
I did replace the relay because I tore the crap out of the one I had trying to make a bypass switch.
