Be one of the first customers in North America to see the all new Thunderbird! Triumph America has made special arrangements with the factory design department to fly a handful of prototype Thunderbirds over for Daytona Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Florida! These units are for display purposes only and will look exactly like the production bikes! Specially accessorized Thunderbirds will be available to show you how far you can go to make one your own!

Customers will be allowed up close and personal access to these display bikes. So if you need to see it for yourself; feel how comfortable it is to throw a leg over; and talk to the factory team about the features and accessories, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! Make plans to visit the factory demo truck at the Daytona International Speedway from February 27th through March 7th. The bikes will be on display at our factory demo truck located at 1801 International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida!

The first time you see this bike you'll understand why even the most amazing pictures in the world can't do this beauty any justice. Come fall in love with your next motorcycle; the 2010 Thunderbird.

No test rides; but I will get to see them.

I'll be interested in taking a look at it when it hits the showroom, but it's not a model that appeals to me.
If I didn't already have the H***a CB900F I could see myself with a Street Triple. I already have the T100 and that's the only model I really lusted after. That will do it for me.

I am just not a cruiser guy - but for long trips, it is appealing.

I thought the same thing until I took my America on a few road trips. The feet-forward position and short suspension travel wrecks my back. Difficult to tie tent, sleeping bag, duffel bag, etc. on that little, curved rack while on sidestand. Will the new Thunderbird come with a centerstand? After recovering from my recent job change and a few other things, I'll be looking for a good used Tiger, Concours, ST 1300, or something similar.

Edit: May make the pilgrimage down there just to visit Demo truck and test ride a couple of bikes. Mapquest says 3 hours 53 minutes by car, so its probably only 3 hours by bike. Carl, will you be off crutches by then?

Lon, I am off the crutches now; but still in the aircast. I expect to be in the aircast two more weeks and then graduate to a brace. Once I am in the brace, I can ride two wheels. I will drive Mae Lyne's hack rig from St Pete back home today. With it I don't have to put my foot down for balance and risk twisting my ankle. Once we get out of the Tampa area and all of the Super Bowl traffic, I will drive her truck left footed and give her the chance to ride and practice out of the congestion.

We had to have her hack remounted because the mechanics at the Triumph shop did not dismount it properly. He screwed up the toe in and camber. It is all set up again for us.

I will ride in the hack while she drives the rig over to Daytona. Let me know what days you are coming; we can definitely meet. I look forward to seeing you.

You know, i keep saying how well received this bike has been even with all the naysayers because so many people have put deposits on them. it just struck me that another bit of proof is that link i posted. How many bikes have you see generate enough excitement well before they arrive for someone to start a website dedicated to it?!!!! It's crazy.....people are really looking forward to this bike like nothing i've seen so far, yet all those so VERY rabid naysayers told me i was full of _____ in no uncertain terms over at RAT. To them i happily say I TOLD YOU SO!!!! Now just wait till it arrives and then you can eat my...............

DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ya2:
