My practice is after a ride to lay down and inspect for leaks and anything that might be amiss. For a couple of months I've been blotting up a small amount of oil from the neutral switch boot. Well it hasn't gotten worse but it was time to fix it. I bought a switch and sealing washer from the dealer in Manassas,Va. The switch with sealing washer was just under $25. However to get a boot, well, they only come with a wiring harness.ANGER
So here is the scoot up on the lift.View attachment 14960 Here's a pic of the drippy switch.View attachment 14961 Tools needed are a 14mm deepwell.
View attachment 14962 The stock female spade connector is designed to really be hard to come off. The boot was so hardened that I discarded it. Oil loss is about 1 quart. View attachment 14963 Here is the new and old. I reused the old copper washer after dressing it up. View attachment 14964 On CLOSE inspection, of the old switch I found a gap between the epoxy that surrounds the terminal and the body of the switch, thus the leak. Replaced the oil and all is well.:y16: I hope this helps someone.

Namaste,
Charles
