Kenny Nichols--2004 Black SpeedMaster-19 tooth Primary Sprocket-BUB's slash back/with the baffles-The Bubs' fit is really something. They save 11lbs over the stockers-I did weigh them both. They sound great with the baffles-they're getting louder too.

Custom built Ram Air box.

Heal & Toe Shifter with Floor boards

832 Miles-the motor seems like it's coming in.The motor seems stronger & the rpms have settled down to 3800 @ 70.

Belt kit...gosh I love it !

that's about it for 6weeks worth of work..I love this bike!

I went through one year of hell with a 1800 Gold Wing getting it dialed in & decked out.It is now for sale on ebay.

The Triumph Speedmaster has been nothing but Pleasure since I got it..I can't stay off of the thing. Some times I get up at 2:30AM to go out riding while it's cool.I've been riding bikes since 1962 started with Nortons-went to the wing in 1975.

This Triumph is the finest riding bike I've ever been on, no matter what price.period. They put the right tires on it.The Metzlers are the right stuff for this bike.I can't imagin putting anything else on it.The Quality control on this bike is super.Blows a Honda Gold Wing away.

My next move is to make the brakets to install a Dart Fly Screen on it.That'll be the icing on the cake for the summer! :)

What can I say but I can only agree with you. Had a Bonnie back in the 70’s and 80’s and plenty of other bikes between. I always felt something was missing and only when I got the Speedy did it all fall in place.

Love the bike it’s the best I have ever had as well. Good to see you posting Kenny

Welcome to the world of Triumphs, Kenny. Great choice and great bike! Ride on.

i feel the same. Especially when you get them dialed in and running strong with pipes and air/fuel mods. I just cannot for the life of me find anything less than perfect about this thing aside from my never ending quest for power. If it had 80 or more HP and torque i think it would be my last bike, at least till it wore out then i'd buy another. Just today a guy on a new honda 1800 V twin was admiring it when i walked back to my bike. When i told him what i paid he nearly fell over and told me his cost double that ! Good thing he didn't ride it. He'd likely have commited suicide on the spot. :D

These things are real treasures for those of us who love the classic triumph but always wanted one that looked hot rodded into a sorta roadster looking affair. There is not one other bike in production today that fills that niche.

Well, I'll tell you what will put the icing on the cake -next year they're supposed to come with fuel injection...that will set it free...carbs are fine-gosh nows I've built enough of them...but nothing beats fuel injection..

I don't think it'll be that hard to get to 75-80hp...it's the same old thing..you got to have the package--I'd rather have torque than hp...however i think a little fooling around with the top end of the motor will probably get a person where he wants to go.
I'm toying with the idea of doing the head & changing out the pistons,pins... to me the cam timing is key...we'll see.. I'll keep you advised..

Ps. I did put the Triumph fly screen on & then i used the same brackets & tried the Dart. TheTriumph screen is good to 75mph...The Dart is better period but not nearly as pretty..but for sure better @ higher speeds.

I think if you speak to any Speedy owner you will get the same need more power. I know I would also love to have more it would just make it more fun and a better low end bike overall. I love the feeling of opening it up and you have this raw power that just pulls and pulls.

I'm VERY interested in EFI. Problem is, i don't like the 07 speedys or americas. I like the 07 america more then the speedy, but i hate the wheels on both and like mine much more. I also like my tank paint scheme much more than the america, and they've given both models the america scheme for 07. Plus i don't like the new colors, tho hopefully those may change in 08. So if the 08's look the same which i'm sure they will, it would cost me a fortune to put a 08 to 06 and earlier looks. new wheels and tank alone would be almost $2k. So i don't know what i'll do. Chances are i'll force myself to try and like the look and grow to like it. EFI is probably worth it because of the ease with which you can tune them to perfection and gain the absolute maximum HP/torque, not to mention the other benefits.

On the other hand a triumph rep told me about 6 months ago that the twins will not get EFI for several years because the carberated twins meet standards in every country for several years to come. So who knows. I just wish when they do change them i could get a 06 look with EFI and 75-80 HP. That would make me ecstatic. Then again if the rumored big twin arrives this all may be a moot point !
