My blue and white 2003 T100 is still going strong. Sometimes when I try to cold start it I regret all of the engine modifications (Air box gone, K&Ns, emissions all gone, Togas, and huge jetting changes to the carbs) but then when it finally gets some gas to the cylinders and starts up the extra 25 or so HP and the bark of the Togas makes it as thrilling as my first ride was on a new 1963 Bonneville, back when it was the fastest production motorcycle made.

I have been having thoughts of stripping it down a bit to lose some weight. Mabe lose the Triumph saddlebags, the engine guards, maybe even the windshield? But then...I would rather take some weight off myself instead. I was starting to get big enough to ride a Harley, but I have dropped 20 lbs of ugly fat this summer (no, I still have my head) and think I can do another 20 by Xmas. Another 20 lbs. should be good for the bike feeling like it picked up several HP --- maybe I need to shoot for 30 lbs?
