Just a short run on a public holiday for the sake of saying that I started the year off proper.

Went out in tee shirt (boots, jeans, gloves and open face) jacket in the panniers just in case. On a slow ride with double demerit points running I'm no ATGATT man.
Had a traffic free run on the top of the mountain until I reached my destination, the very large Hindu Temple at Helensburgh. I respect Hindus, but on a public holiday with hundreds of them all trying to park at the same place, man o man I think I'm going to get a new law passed to say you can drive or be a Hindu but not both at the same time. :y15:

I'll go again soon when it isn't so busy and get some photos from inside and from the back.

When I was coming back on the coast road I saw this and remembered some time back we were talking about erosion, unfortunately I only had my iPhone and GoPro with me so the shot isn't so good but you get the idea.

The fog rolled in here tonight and they are saying its only going to get worse over the next few days. Looks like I won't be able to get a New Tears Day ride in tomorrow or for the next week or so. Glad you got one in.

Posting with Tapatalk while riding my Tiger 955i at 15 over the speed limit.

I dunno what you used on those temple shots but they are very good, I imagine on Sharrons SLR they would be amazing.BTW, that white temple and deep blue sky would blow you away with a polarising filter wound to max

I belong to a photo forum most of the members are in the UK. For some reason the deep blue sky we get down South without a filter used to get to them and they felt it was just not right :y2:

Those temple shots were taken with my iPhone 4S.
The sky is the sky, that's how the sky looks. Normal for us but if that light cloud lifted it would have been a nicer shade of darker blue.
I have some GoPro vid from the ride, I'll try to edit and get a YouTube link into this thread a bit later.

I don't know what's wrong with this stupid program (WLMM) I just put almost an hour into turning an hour of vid into 10 min and it wouldn't save. ANGER
Probably give it another try tomorrow.

I didn't start and stop so saving as I went along can't be an issue.
That was all last night and this is a new day, I'll give it another crack a bit later.
Now that I've been over the raw material a number of times it won't take too long to do again.

Good to see a good start to the year, that looks like an interesting place to visit, I must put it on the list.
I found it too hot to do much riding must have been over 40C in Western Sydney.
Anyway, last time I tried a ride on New Years day the run ended in an ambulance ride, so I try and avoid riding on public holidays when the roads are full of fools and I might be a little tired from the late night.

I'm retired and therefore do most of my riding Monday to Friday, I agree with you but yesterday I just wanted to get out but sure had my eyes wide open for the extra holiday problems.
40c in W Sydney, wow, Wollongong sat on about 28c for most of the day.

cracker day eh mate
Good stuff Kev, I watched that on full screen at 720 for loading speed and the quality was fine.
I do like the way you pop in the info, it makes it a lot more informative and entertaining.
I will have to have a go at that myself.

Great stuff!! Lovely pics all round TUP
But I'm :y154:as the wind chill here today is -25C(-13F) CRY
Not meaning to hijack this thread, but this is a pic of a Hindu temple in Toronto, Canada, that I saw on a visit there a couple of years ago.
