1998 Triumph Adventurer - Transmission Fluid

I am having trouble finding what transmission fluid I should use for my 1998 Triumph Adventurer.
My manuals only state fully synthetic 5w/40.

Motorcycle engine and transmission are connected, it therefore uses just one type of oil. Convenient, one oil and always changed together in one process. LoL.

I got curious and apparently there have been some motorcycles with separate engine and transmission oil. It appears though the most common is shared and if that is all that is mentioned in the owners manual then it’s shared. When one gets into the hybrid non traditional motorcycle type vehicles it probably can be more interesting. For the most part my first statement is the rule.

Apparently Harley’s have separate engine and transmission cases and do not share oil. Guess the OP has been a Harley owner. Perhaps not such a strange question.

Check your refference document again carefully. The official Triumph manual says 10-40 semi synth, see screen shot attached. As the other guys say the sme oil for engine and trans
