Hi all.. I am Charlie.. New here. I am looking for help on my bike. when I rev it, it just dies. It will start back up the idle is off and as soon as I give it a little gas at the throttle it dies.. I checked inside the fuel tank for broken hoses, I sprayed air into the vacuum system. I noticed some of the hoses going to the fuel injectors are bad. they look good but if you bend them, you can notice a lot of tiny holes. Don't know if this would be bad enough to cause this problem

Try the throtle positon sensor it might be gone or the conector may have dust or corosion in it , and check the side stand switch and clutch switch are not sticking .
also check around the head stock area were the wiring comes to the headlight and clocks for any damage from being pinched or squashed by the steering stops , let me know how you get on !

I will check that out and let you know. my next step is the throttle position sensor. I recently spray starting fluid on the TB gasket and saw a big idle change so I'm guessing the bike is sucking in to much air and shutting down when I try to rev it. I will let you know once I get the gasket and install it.

So i did the testing for the TPS and it gave me all the right values. Both Voltage and Ohms.... I dont get it.. Today i started to rev it slowly and when it hit 5k RPM it was normal as long as i kept revving it then when i let go of the throttle it was sputtering and when i tried to rev it fast, it died.. The TPS is Giving me the correct values, would it still be bad? Dont want to waste the money if it doesnt need it

Just out of curiosity open the fuel cap and then try it the brather may be blocked , if not then i think you need to start looking at fuel filter and check for water in the fuel .

Thanks for the reply............... Ok so for anyone having this issue, when you apply any throttle the bike dies.. This is what i did today and fixed it. First make sure that you have the fuel hoses going from the fuel tank to the Injectors connected to the correct port on the gas tank... and clean the injectors. I believe that i had the fuel hoses mixed.. hahahahahaha, Im an idiot... 3 Weeks of trouble shooting

Thanks guys, i still have an overheating issue at idle.. going to try and replace the thermostat which i heard there is an alternative to the expensive dealer one. The Stant 35279.. This is for 97 Triumph Daytona T595, maybe compatible with others.

Well for anyone looking for a cheap solution to a new thermostat for a 97 Triumph Daytona T595 Today i put a Stant 14279 which you can cross reference with Stant 35279.. Only $13 dollars and my bike is running nice.... I couldn't believe it. Its the same one the dealer sells for $60, only difference is about 3 Degrees Celsius higher Than OEM about 188 Farenhite
