1995 T'bird 900 - Replacement Signal Lights

Was in the shop assembling the rear signal lights and as I was threading the 13mm nut on to the stem, it came away leaving the entire thread stem inside the nut!

Well after all this is a 25 years old motorcycle!

The thing that needs to be replaced is the stem and we are good to go, but was looking at the Sprint web site, the stems they are recommending are made from Stainless Steel but are 19.95 UK Lbs X 4. This is expensive especially when you convert from Canadian Loonies and shipping.

My question is, has anyone replaced the signal (winkers as the Brits call them) with an after market signal lights

The heading should have read 1995 Triumph Thunderbird 900 Replacement Signal Lights.

Wish there was a way to edit, but I guess not.

Hey fellow BSA inspired Triumph guy, guess what? The same tipover that fractured my shifter shaft on my 2000 Thunderbird also broke the front left turn signal stem at the inboard threaded section. I didn't really want to spend the money to replace it or await delivery so I repaired what I had. I replaced the threaded section with an electric lamp nipple available at my local hardware store. To do this all I had to do was drill and tap the bore of the turn signal stem to match the thread. And voila, almost good as new. Sorry no photo. Good luck.

Thank you for the response! After taking the whole thing apart, decided just to replace the stem with stainless steel. Looks fantastic.
