Appears to be a Sebring "battery eliminator"? If so, is essentially a reg./rec. but also with a capacitor for "battery elimination".this?
Because it did not fit anywhere inside? And/or the fitter believed it required greater cooling airflow than the original rectifier or Zener diode?why is it on the outside
