Over the weekend I acquired a November 1966 copy of CycleWorld magazine.
In it was a colour sales brochure for the 1967 BSA range of bikes which is the main reason I got it.
We have some of these models in our vintage bike club and it makes me smile when I see then nearly every week.
As most of you know I'm the proud owner of a 1967 BSA 441cc Victor Roadster, but only the Victor scrambler model is shown in the advert.

It also has a picture of Burt Munro on the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1966.

It was their reply to the Triumph 500cc competition models, but I do believe that it was too heavy to really be effective. I'm sure that BSA used the same engine cases for both large and small twins..........Triumph didn't, which had to save weight.
