Well hello to all,
I have done a little search for air box issues for the 1200 XE and I have found nothing so if you can point me in the direction on A or several threads I will toddle off and venture down those rabbit wholes but in the case there is not here goes!.
OK so I am at 25K on my 1200 XE and love it enough to keep going with it I have overcome luggage issues for two up camping with my better half and also off roading with cobbers.
Now at this point I must say about 50% of my riding is adventure/dirt and love dirt enough to have an XR400 Honda for very deep bush work so in actual fact about 70% of my riding in total is dirt and I love it BIG TIME, that established here goes with the woes!
OK so Air Box 1200 XE issues, now I will say that this is only my opinion and mine alone, IT IS
! Totally air box design, I have tried to clean and seal the airbox filtering system by many ways and none seem to fix the issue if dust passing the AIR FILTER and I am really un impressed with Triumphs attempt to design A half decent air box for those of us who actually go offroad not occasionally but every weekend so literally all the time it is part of my weekly riding ritual and to have a continually failing air box that no amount of Vaseline of grease will stop dust getting past it is really pissing me off and trying to find any alternatives out there on the big wide webb is not real great at the minute in fact no alternative have I found yet other than K&N and DNA Filters which unfortunately use the exact same system which to me seems destind to fail as well do I really need to spend $300 AU on filters that dieighn wise are exactley the same as the factory ? or are they really better in sealing department than the originals? I really doubt that.
