I recently bought a second hand scrambler, in a bag of bits that came with it is this... I have no idea what it is or what it's for. Anyone know?

Yep, that's the headlight piece -- when I added an OEM headlight grill to my Street Scrambler 900, I had to remove that (supposedly because the grill had a solid piece in the center too, and the instructions said it was "illegal in some locales to leave it". Dunno, I just removed it.
