My Bonneville has been sitting for about 6 months without being charged due to me being out of country and forgetting to plug in the charger. I turned the key and the instrument panels lit up but of course it wouldn't turn over so I tried charging the battery for a day but to no avail. I let it sit for another 3 months before buying a brand new battery today and after installing it the instrument panels do not light up when I turn the bike on. The headlight, rear running light, and the flashing immobilizer light come on but the instrument panels are dead. The horn works fine. The bike will not turn over and the turn signals don't work. If I press the information button on the left handlebar cluster the clock will display in the left instrument panel then disappear after a few seconds so I do know that the instrument panels work but aren't getting any information. The bike has 5500 miles on it (yes, that low) and has been garage kept it's entire life. We have no problem with ants, roaches, mice, or squirrels.

I have checked these things:

1. The new battery is good and starts up my other bike.
2. The connections to the battery are tight and correct.
3. All the fuses under the seat are good.
4. Checked that all electrical connections are good including the computer connections.
5. Looked to see if any wires were chewed, broken, or bent.

I cannot visually see anything wrong with the bike. Does anyone have any suggestion on what the problem may be?

Thanks in advance!
