Has anyone installed (or had installed) an aftermarket horn on their Thunderbird 1600 (mine is a 2012). I'm looking to upgrade from the factory "beep-beep" to something more substantial that a car or truck can actually hear? I'd be interested in knowing what model you purchased. Thank you.

Sure! I installed a horn that sounds like a car horn, from Newbonneville.com:

I went with the above horn. Or, this:

I also would like to replace the factory horn. I have a 2020 Speedmaster 1200. Is it a simple bolt on with snap plug wires?? Or is it a customized fit??

The 110dB horn that I put on is a direct replacement. You take off the old horn, unplug it, mount the new one in the same place (using the short metal strap, if needed), and plug it in where the old one plugged in. Very simple, done in less than 30 minutes.
I will post a picture tomorrow.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Is it much loader than the stock horn? Are you happy with it? If so, it's an inexpensive upgrade. Thanks again...
I can't tell you how much louder the horn is just that:
1 - it is louder, and
2 - it doesn't sound like a motorcycle horn but like a car horn. I think even a loud motorcycle "beep" would be ignored.
Those two factors, together, make it much more noticeable, and, yes, I am happy with it.

Great, I'll get one right away. Recently a guy changed lanes right towards me, luckily I was able to brake in time that he missed me. I sounded my horn for the first time, and realized it was useless. Thank you, and ride on.

Hello Fellow Trumphy riders.

I am wanting to install a higher windshield on my black/Gray 2014 T'bird Commander. I a seeking to find and purchase a windshield about 10/20 cm higher than the stock standard Triumph windshield.

Does anyone know where I could source/acquire it?
Thanks.

Graeme

I installed a pair (high note and low note) of horns from a full size van in the wrecking yard. Required a relay that I mounted under the tank, did not butcher the original harness to make them operational.

I know exactly what you mean about the factory “beep-beep” being totally useless. I had the same issue on my bike—no way cars would notice it.
