Hi can someone help please. Iv got a 2019 scrambler 1200xc . I removed the battery for the winter to keep it fully charged. When I came to replace the battery and tried to start the bike , nothing not even the dash lights up . Is there some sort of procedure I need to do to start the bike . Thank you .

First thing, is the battery in the key fob good? Be sure to press it until it lights up green. If this is a USA bike check that the kill switch under the lefthand side of the petro/gas tank is in the "on" position. After that I got nothing. I'm assuming from your flag that the kill switch is not an issue.

Its a UK bike is the kill switch towards the rear of the left side of the tank

This is on my US bike, looking at the left hand side of the bike it's just to the left of the Scrambler 1200 badge.

Put a volt meter on your battery to see how it is, like has been said check fob is switched on, when you press the fob it should flash green if it doesn’t then change the battery in the fob.

As above you need to check the fob. I fit's been left switched on all winter the battery may have lost it's charge. If it's showing green and the bike still won't start, try removing the seat and either using the fob or your spare key to start the bike as in the owners manual.

I had a problem like this although I hadn't removed the bike's battery and the fob had the green light to signify it was switched on although it would start with the @under seat method'. It turned out to be a faulty key fob which was replaced under warranty

Hope this helps

Sorted pal . Put key fob next to frame Infront of petrol tank it did the trick .

Now you know it's not the bike battery so it must be linked to the fob.

Will the bike switch on with the fob in your pocket within range of the bike? If not it's either the fob battery or the fob itself

When I had this problem the fob would randomly switch on the bike in the normal way (the fob green light was always on when I pressed the Triumph symbol), but always when placed near the front of the petrol tank or under the seat. I replaced the battery and all was well for about a fortnight and the problem came back. I took it to the dealers and. fortunately. the fob failed whilst in the workshop and they got me a new fob under warranty. No problems since

Mike
