Since the Saab 900 badges didn't work, I'm going to make a custom sticker in 3D printed vinyl with chrome optics for the side panels. This will look the same as the one one the tank. But I'm still undecided on the text... Will we put "900ST" on it, or a "Bonneville 900ST", or "Street Twin" or "Street Twin 900". Let me show you some of the designs I made. They are not final, since I need to measure the letters again, maybe I have to make them a little more bold (the printer can only do 5mm minimum width, which is not a lot).

The font is very similar to the Triumph logo we have put on the tank, though the M & the W do not match. What do you think of the options? Any suggestions? I'll post mockups with the bike as well, as soon as I have all vectors finished.

In case anyone is interested in the vector graphics, send me a PM.

Just got off the phone with the 3D print store. They need a minimum of 3cm height per letter. That will be too large by far... Soooooo: Back to the drawing board.

In other news: Dropped the bike off at the dealer today for spokes wheels and other details ... Will be finished by the end of the week.

Spokes wheels are mounted!!!
+ center stand
+ heated grips (with original handlebars, LSL did not work)
+ new brake fluid reservoir
+ charging socket

I'll post details of the four extras in the next days. Meanwhile: Feast your eyes!

So you've seen the spokes wheels, here is more modifications. Starting off with the center stand. It was mounted by the dealer since I did that once on another bike and didn't want to do it again... These springs are mean!

The stand is not very high, but works as intended. When it is not in use, it hides between the exhaust pipes.

The heated grips were mounted by the dealer, I couldn't find the plug to plug them in ... You get a button on the left grip to switch them on and off. The current status is shown in the display, there are three settings: Off, Low & High.

To add a little more softness & grip to the grips, I put tennis racket tape around it (with comfort foam inside). I have done this on my BMW as well and it is great to ride. One pack is sufficient for both grips. On the inner end you can use black tape to keep it in place. Looks even better than before...

Aaaaaand ... we love our throttle rockers. I have been using one since 2003 and my wife since 2006. It is the next best thing to cruise control

The horn was also not that beautiful, sticking out on the left side. So I put it on the inside behind the cooling system.

Yes, it has come along great so far! Next week the Highsider bar end mirrors will be here. I still haven't figured out if I want to put on a small screen or not. It would be a great improvement on ride quality, not so sure about optics. My biggest issue though is the rear panel stickers ... I'd love to put some on, but cannot find a manufacturer for the 3D chrome PVC...

One more improvement (though illegal): I removed the Euro 4 side reflectors. Let's see if the German "Technical Control Association" (TÜV) notices it or not...

as far as I'm aware there's no legal requirement for them

I've found laws in the US and Australia during a quick research, but none for the EU or specifically the U.K. There is a rule on how to position them in Germany, but I have found none that says you have to have them... Pretty weird. I bet no one will care
