I have been enjoying my Tiger since I own it for almost 12months, I tought that I change in personality and looks won't hurt it so one day I started disassembling it with the intention to create a unique, to my own taste Triumph Tiger.

my initial plan was to paint just the above pieces and clean everything else but........ I saw a Ducati with red frame and liked it so much that I couldn't resist......

so there it is..... the Triumph Tiger heart its marvelous 955i triple.... delicious!!!

So I got all the pieces to my painter and in the meantime I retaped and fixed the wiring harness, got some new head bearings, bearings for the rear suspension unit, new chain and sprockets and miscellaneus bits and pieces, cleaned all the bolt hardware, so what started as just a wash face job got into a rebuid project.

First results::

That is so cool and that paint scheme brings it right up to date with the new ones.
I must admit,I dont think I would have had the balls to strip it as far as you did,well done. TUP

There's probably a lot of purist out there that probably would think that is a sacrilege to modify so radically the paint scheme from OEM but I tried to have something different without having to sell bike and having to buy something newer with the looks I wanted, and it was a great opportunity to know my bike to it last bit, bolt and grease spot.!! I think I liked it a lot more because of this then for it's new face !!
