I have been offered this lovely BSA Thunderbolt from a club member at a good price. It's nearly perfect and needs nothing.
But since I already have four bikes that don't get ridden enough, I need to use a little common sense. Money and upkeep isn't an issue, but storage space is.
I want it but I don't need it. What I'm afraid of is, it will end up being sold out-of-province and we'll never see it again. I bought my BSA Victor Roadster partly for that reason; I didn't want to lose it from our area - plus I have been enjoying it for nearly 13 years. But I can't save all of them.
I think I'll have to pass, but will probably end up kicking myself is the a$$ much later CRY
I can only hope somebody locally will buy it.

Rocky, I got a great solution, you buy the BSA and I will let you store it in my garage :y15: Free of charge, that way you have a perfect excuse to come south in the winter and ride.
Huge sacrifice, I know, but I am willing to make it.:y2:

Seriously though. FINE bike!

BGRIN thanks for all the offers of "storage."
The fellow only rides it once or twice a year as he's now into sailboats and sailing in the summer. That's a time consuming and expensive hobby so he wants to part with the bike since he has no time for it.
And yes, I'm sure I will end up kicking myself later.
I haven't closed the door 100% yet, but it's very close :y15:

Nice bike . . . Even better offer for you, store it in my garage for free. What makes it even a better offer? Local airport is a port of entry and just 45 minutes away, you could be riding it quicker than if you went with one of the other offers. :y2:

Uhm..........I am only 20 minutes from Pensacola Airport.........Hemi, thats dirty pool.

I have Family in North Dakota, they will smuggle you across the border Rocky, and bring ya on down South all safe and sound like......:y15:
I gotta Rebel Flag bandana you can wear so you will not get harassed while in The Republic of Redneckistan :y2:

Rocky, what did you decide? Do have a new BSA? :y2:
No, I decided to not buy it.
I'll probably regret it, but I have four bikes on the road now and they don't get ridden enough as it is. Adding another to the stable only makes that situation worse. If I had only a couple of bikes I wouldn't hesitate.
The past few years I seem to have ridden less and less which is in part due to the poor health of my wife. She needs more attention these days and I don't seem to get out as much as I used to.
In view of that, plus the added cost, lack of storage space and a short summer, I had to use some common sense and let the bike go.
