Hi! I'm new here! I've been trying to answer my wife's question about the value of a 1970 Bonneville T120R that was restored years ago, ridden a little and then parked in the living room (my wife MADE ME DO IT), so I'm hoping someone among you Triumph fans can help me out with the answer. What I have is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120R that was restored probably 8 years ago and then ridden a little and parked in the living room about 6 or 7 years ago. I looks real nice, ran fine before I took the fluids out of it and removed the battery before parking it. I squirt a little oil in the cylinders and kicked it over a couple of times a year to keep the cylinders sorta preserved. I'll attempt to stick a couple of photos of it on here and will be hoping someone has an idea what it might be worth. If you know, please drop me a note at [email protected]. I will also look here for replies if I can and will try to figure out the PM thing if there is one on this forum. THANKS!!

It looks to be in lovely condition. It's fairly easy to get an idea of a bike's worth by searching for it in eBay. Auction, not classified. Find some, save them, check what they went for.

In the UK, that condition 1973 maybe £7000, 1968 maybe £12,000. Somewhere in the middle of that?

Thanks for the reply....I'll have to convert the British Pounds to US dollars for have an idea what those numbers mean. OK..I will try looking at the ebay auctions, but DO tend to not believe that kind of stuff too much.

The bikes are worth less in America, many get repatriated here for profit. And those figures are just a guide.

Why not believe the eBay prices at auction? As long as there's a few bidders, it's likely genuine. And, you'll check several. You'll soon see a price pattern.
That's how I'd probably sell a bike to, to get its true worth.

Sweet T120 Sir! I have a '70 T120R w/20k miles. A young Doc purchased it new. He gradually gathered an extensive collection of motorcycles, autos and a few pre WWII aircraft. He loved his T120R. It was passed on to his BF for his collection before he passed at 84yrs! I now am the owner of a pristine ORIGINAL. I would guess with the USD devaluation and questionable politicking that my sample is valued somewhere in the neighborhood of $6 - 7.5K.
Have fun, I ride mine a bit thru Zion NP often! On the table is a LSR T120R raced into the early 70's when crashed! Some youngsters tried to fab a "chopper" and lost interest. My project is to re fab this "junk" to the Racer as it was configured in the 60's and do a few "squirts" down the Short Course at Bonneville. Docs and all will probably value around $5 to $6k. Have fun, Ride Hard.
