What a strange winter we are having this year. It is now 4 degree Celsius = 39.2 degree Fahrenheit and just a day or so ago it was 28 degree Celsius = 82.4 degree Fahrenheit. Now this was not the normal winter heat but our real summer heat. The temps have been up and down like this all the time this year. The one night looking at our weather map I noticed the most minus temps I have ever seen that I can remember so far. :y35:

Here on the west coast U.S. it's been a cooler summer. It's muggy and cloudy and the temps lower than normal ad has been for a while now. We should be in the 80's and 90's and with mostly clear sunny skies, but that hasn't been the case. This is my least fav weather so i'm anxious for it to leave !

I'd trade you anytime Dazco!!

I'm just not made for this extreme heat. I feel like I'm melting anytime I set foot outside air conditioning. The worst thing is that August is our typical hottest Month and we're not even there yet.

I can take dry heat into the 100's no problem. Ridden thru the so cal deserts like that many times and i love it. Add humidity to the mix and anything over 70 is uncomfortable, over 75 i'm tortured, 80 and i'm in hell itself. If it's humid i usually won't think about riding unless it's quite cool.

Daz, I can take the heat and humidity if I am on the open road. In the city, about 92 is my limit.

AJ, that is precisely why my gear is NOT black. And it is textile rather than leather.

Well, in Pennsylvania it's ALWAYS humid when it's hot.

My riding jacket is a Triumph brand textile too, with zippered vents and stuff. You can even remove the sleeves and convert it into a vest....but it's still way too hot!!

Black leather jacket, boots gloves and heat as hot as it can get I don't mind it at all. Better than this cold weather we are having right now. Funny I never feel that hot while riding even in the city. :y114:

Over here in England we have had the dryest first six month's of the year since 1929! It is hard to believe that last November we suffered severe flooding in Cumbria, and now the lakes and reservoirs are so low, the Water Authority has just implemented a hose pipe ban!
This was Cockermouth in November,

And I took these last week at Haweswater, the remains of the village that was flooded to create the reservoir, Mardale, are just re-appearing.

Considering the reservoir is 6 miles long there is a lot of water missing!

Normally there is a torrent of water flowing off the outlet in the dam wall, the level is about 20ft below that level!

They imposed the hose pipe ban on friday, and it rained all day saturday! LOL :ya2:
