I've been looking at winter mitts for the handlebars of the Street Twin. After I dress up like I'm going snowmobiling, the hands still get cold.
My goal is to ride when there is good sun and it's not too cold, keep the bike in service through the winter. This is my first winter with the bike
so I don't know what I'll end up learning. The handlebar mitts seem like a good idea. I get the feeling that you need handguards to mount/support these on the bike.
A lot of adventure bikes have handguards, but the street twin does not,,, yet. It would be my preference to have some simple mitts without going the extra route of handguards.
Looking for cracks , comments, suggestions from those who use mitts.
Thank you.

Heated grips would be an added bonus. They make those mitts for ATVs and snowmobiles, so why not a motorbike. Just make sure the levers have adequate clearance around them so you can operate them properly and that they are not in contact with the brake or clutch levers.

I have winter mitts and used them last week, they do keep out the cold but are quite unwieldy, especially at speed, difficult to put your hand back in whilst riding. They work but so do a good pair of heated gloves, they heat on the outside of the hand and heated grips warm the inside, toasty.
