Personally, I've never been a big fan of either one of those.

I think I saw Star Wars (the 1st one) and never had any desire to see all the sequels.

I've watched Star Trek back when they were current only when there was nothing else to waste time on and I found them to be more comedy than intriguing. In other words, I laughed at the horrible acting and low-budget special effects.

But you gotta admit that currently, American politics does resemble something out of Star Wars. There's a definite Darth Vader, we're waiting for a Luke Skywalker, there's definitely a Chewbakka and I'm trying to figure out a Princess Leia! :-)
 
The original movie in any series is always the best. It also helps if you are young, and high on pot when you see it.

Other than that, I don't care for the whole money-sucking scheme of the Star Wars, Rocky, or any other multi-part movie joke.

Give me TV Star Trek; Rodenberry is (was?) NOT a god, just a man.
