I’ve used all three and prefer the second and third options. They create the best seals to prevent water intrusion. Number to is the quickest effective option with corrosion resistance.
I've only ever used #3 with good success over the many years.
It’s definitely a solid way to go. I keep both option two and three supplies in my garage.
Ive used all 3 as well ... it all depends on the job and how tight the area is the wire is going to .
