What Hobby Do You Have?

Well we already know that we all love motorcycles but I am sure we have a lot of our members that have other passions besides this. So what is your other hobby or passion, tell us about it and if you have pics we would love to see those.

Probably my other main hobby is photography. I love taking pictures and then making a DVD of them.
I have always enjoying assembling plastic models of planes and race cars, but don't do much of that now since I came back to bikes.
In fact, around 1990 I took up the hobby again and gathered a lot of kits, paint and all that goes with that hobby. My intention was to do much more of this when I retired in 1992, but in the spring of 1992 I rediscovered motorcycles and models fell by the wayside.
Every winter I promise myself to get at some of the plane kits I have on hand and stocked up on the latest paints, an airbrush, and other supplies, but never seem to get going.
I also enjoy travel and have been to some great places since I retired. Probably the most memorable and exotic adventure I had by motorcycle was in Chile and Peru, but riding through the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia and Alberta is a close second.
These are a couple of samples I completed when I was seriously into model building.

Rocky I love those models that you have done and I bet you do put a lot of time into doing them. I always wanted to build one of those classic RC boats but never got around to doing it.

Shane that caravan is stunning it sure is am upgrade from what I remember from my trips with a buddy and his parents in their one when I was still at school.

thanks guys ! yes Dave they've come a long way in the last 10 years or so and this one even has wet central heating , electric flush toilet , full sized shower , sat tv , solar panel for charging on bourd battery and you can even control all of the heating and lights from your mobil phone from an app via satellite from anywhere .
A couple of pics of the bathroom .

Nice caravan, Shane. It just looks like too much weight for a single axle. What is the dry weight of it? I know they make them different than here, so just curious. Any sway issues?

It is heavy hence the shogan 3.2 it ways 1640kg unladen and about 1750kg laden but it does tow well , and it has an auto braking system that apply's braking to each wheel on the van to aviod the dreaded snaking ..... and it works well .

It's been so long since I've had time away from work to do any hobbies. Heck it's been so long that I forgot what I did for hobbies. But I seem to remember wrestling (after being forced to comsume adult beverages) Sasquatch in the mountains of the jungle in Alabama. I also seem to remember something about a harem I had to manage.

Seriously, I like woodworking. I mostly turned pens and game calls. I've done duck calls and grunt calls for deer hunters. Turkey box calls and diaphragm calls are also on my list of hunting related items I've made. I've done several hundred reindeer for Christmas ornaments and small displays.

I also enjoy rebuilding and refinishing guitars. I haven't done much in that area but hope to do more once I retire.

I'll try to find some photos of my work.

I did do this last weekend. Well to be honest I assisted my oldest son in getting the lumber cut. He carried it home and put it together.

That's not too heavy at all considering how nicely equipped it is. Enjoy it.

My trailer is 28' with a slide. Regular hitch pull. 7300 lbs dry weight. Yeah, you know it's back there.
My Ford F-150 pulls it fine, but pray for a calm day, cause the wind plays havoc with it. The tail wagging the dog.
Plan on downsizing as I do not need 28 feet of trailer. 25 foot with a lot less weight is probably what I will get.

ye thats what mine is 25' and it makes a big difference for the 28' twin axle to tow , but i would say the twin axle are are less tail happy .

This is the normal scene when Harvey and Charlie bring my son and his girlfriend to visit.

Alex and Becky said Charlie wouldn't climb up in the chair with me. Supposedly he's too nervous being around new folks and environments due to being rescued out of a shelter and the abuse he had faced. He climbed up in the chair with me on his first visit and still does it today.
