Week of Horror

Saturday- Kyalami, I was there spectating and two club racers were killed in separate freakish accidents.

Monday- One of our salesman was fired after an investigation and disciplinary hearing in which he was found guilty of plenty of wrongdoing. Very bad for him, but damaging and hurtful for the rest of us too.

Black Thursday, Valentine's Day- It was the 15th anniversary of my father's passing. I'm OK with that and I reminisce with fond memories in a cheery way; nothing morbid. But I choose not to tell anyone because I don't want to put a dampener on anybody's Valentine's Day celebrations.

Then we all got to work and heard about the Oscar Pistorius story- pure horror!

The husband of one of the ladies at work collapsed with a stroke and died shortly afterwards. He was only 44.

This week ain't over yet....


The only good thing that happened this week is that I commuted to work twice on my bike and somehow manged to avoid the rain. Perhaps if I'd have been engulfed by thunderstorms it would have been fitting.

Yes, it's been a bit of a downer, but keep your chin up.
I had a close friend drop dead at age 45. Very shocking.

Yes sir, that was a pretty bad week and there wasn't a Friday 13th in it. . . That is if you believe in that stuff, I don't.

I just went for a rumble out in the country; no high speed stuff. Yes, it can be so therapeutic!
