Hi from Stuttgart, Germany! We are Sonja and Martin, 32 & 33 years old. Sonja has decided to ditch her BMW F650CS for a new Street Twin, Martin is excited and will go for a ride once in a while as well. The spoke wheels are already on the way from Seattle, but the bike will have to wait until early November. We'll have a tour to the Vosges Mountains with the demo bike though.

Meanwhile, we did a little photoshopping and this is what the bike should look like in the end (imagine one less disc in the front). We're not yet sure about the stickers on the tank and sides, maybe we'll get something more individual (any suggestions?)

:y151:andWELCOMEto the forum, from the UK. I was in Germany last week. I love it. Went to Sundern, weather wasn't kind but that's just the way it is. Was doing Glemseck again this year but plans have changed, and won't be going now. The Street Twin is a great bike, it will be good to see some pictures when you've done the mods. Hope that you'll enjoy the forum.

Gleiseck is just around the corner - 20 minutes from here. You should go! I guess we'll be there on Sep 2nd, still need to find a better exhaust (= closer to old boxers) for the R1200RS, so a visit to the Glemseck 101 is great for a quick impression.

And yes, the Street Twin is great. I rode the Thruxton, Bonneville & Street Twin that day. The Thruxton was great, but not the right one for the tours we do. The Bonnie was kind of a disaster, my expectations were to high. The Street Twin was a surprise: Sonja immediately improved her riding, it was fun to follow her on the Thruxton! And even I had a lot of fun, so I guess I'll borrow it for a few trips every now and then.

We'll post pictures when everything is ready, for sure!!

Martin

Hello and welcome to the forum, that is going to be a nice bike for you guys to ride around your area. I hope we going to see some ride reports as we really do enjoy seeing them from members in other areas.
