I was watching National Geographic channel yesterday and they had something on Mega factories. They featured the Harley Vrod factory and went through the whole process of how the bike is made. They also had a bit on the lifestyle. I really enjoyed watching this the factory is very high tech and they seem to really produce a top notch bike :y115:

Thats the only Harley I would like to ride, it certainly is a good looking bike.

It doesn't do a thing for me. If I had two choices in the Harley range, one old and one new, old would be a WLA probably with a chair, new would be a Sportster. Having said that I could think of about 50 bikes I'd like before those two. Different strokes for different blokes .

It's not my style of bike either, but it does have a hell of a nice Porsche engineered engine.

The side mounted plate holder really gets me mad since it's legal in my State because it comes from the factory that way. Yet it would be illegal here if you installed one yourself???

Do you remember which H-D factory was being shown?

No not offhand but it seemed to be the main one for the Vrod. They also featured two other models that are upgrades of the standard

I think that engine will be the basis of future Harleys. The current V-twin can no longer keep up with emissions regulations. It is so detuned that it barely runs in factory form.
