This is the Vanderbilt summer home on the Hudson River. I have no interior shots because flash photography was not allowed. It was pouring rain, but I took shelter under trees to get a shot of the front and side entrances.

It was still pouring rain when we arrived at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome so toured the museum which houses planes, motorcycles, engines and vehicles.

The rain let up so we were able to walk outside and look around the storage hangers and then walk over to the airfield.

The rain stopped so we risked a walk over to the airfield just to look around. There was no activity at all and we were the only ones there.

This is the plane used to take people up for a flight, but due to the rain our schedule was too tight to come back on Saturday. We finished walking around and had just arrived back at the truck when the skies opened up again.
