Can any one tell me what the "SC_ numbers in the chart mean?

Thanks

I don't have a clue what they mean.
I'd like to suggest, forget it. Ask a couple of users how a certain tyre works and that's all you require.
When it comes to computer graphs we have an old saying "bull

xpsunk.gif
xpsunk.gif
xpsunk.gif
in bull
xpsunk.gif
xpsunk.gif
xpsunk.gif

out".:y2:

Edit,
And this is a great example.
What I actually posted was "bulls**t in and bulls**t out" but the computer changed it to what it was told to say.

The problem with asking people about tyres is that everyone seems to offer differing opinions.
Pirelli's site is quite good, as is Michelin's. Just would like to clarify that chart.

I am trying to learn the facts instead of taking educated guesses............. :y2:

Speaking for myself with about 44 years of riding and 10 years racing at national level, I'm not fast enough to tell the difference between the best tyre two different companies produce. Don't try to over think what is a simple thing.

Remember asking the kids at the local coffee shop and asking a small number of trusted older riders are two different things. The kids parrot off what the other kid said and can't actually explain what they said.

These days I don't do a lot of miles and usually change my bikes before I require new replacement. When I do want new on an existing bike things have moved on since the last time so I have to ask about. I ask for the best without getting into true racing tyres and then ask how they rate against the XYZ that is coming off. If the XYZ wasn't giving me a problem then any better tyre is fine, now lets work on price within that group. All a process of elimination and knowing who to ask. Too many young people prefer style over substance.

True, although I'm not young I must admit to have been a Michelin fanboy. Not having tried Pirelli's, however after listening to an older rider with far greater experience I jumped in the deep end and bought a front rear combo. Very suprised, these old blokes still know a thing or two. lol

Mind you I scratched the pegs on the Tiger last Saturday, on Pirelli Scorpions! Nottabad tyre either. (duals)

You just nailed it. All of my new bikes over the last 10 years have come with great tyres and they only go sideways when I change down too hard into corners or over do it in the wet. They also regain grip when the nut on the twistgrip reacts.

Silli I am not sure what you actually are looking for here

Shoulder areas designed to maximize contact patch area and length. Balanced elastic behaviour of carcass for stiffness in braking, precision and speed in cornering. High performance polymers providing high mechanical stability and top class performance throughout the race.

And your point? :y2:
